A MAN has pleaded guilty to one count of assault causing actual bodily harm.
Jone Taoba, 25, of Madam Pl in Raiwai, Suva, appeared before Suva Magistrate Sufia Hamza on Friday.
He admitted assaulting a 19-year-old male while under the influence of alcohol.
The court heard that Taoba was drinking alcohol with a group of friends beside a van belonging to the complainant, Atunaisa Camaibulu.
While checking the vehicle, Mr Camaibulu found that a window of the van was not properly locked.
Taoba approached Mr Camaibulu, tried to chase him from the area then assaulted the complainant.
The case has been adjourned to January 25 for mitigation.
