Update: 7:30PM A TROPICAL depression located northeast of Udu Point in Vanua Levu does not pose any direct threat to Fiji at this stage.
The tropical depression was located about 186 kilometres off Udu Point yesterday afternoon.
Director of Meteorology, Alipate Waqaicelua said the depression was moving towards the south of the country at three kilometres per hour.
Mr Waqaicelua said there was no direct threat to the country at this stage as the depression was between Fiji and Futuna and was expected to hit Tongan waters once it developed into a cyclone.
