NATIONAL number one Praneel Singh was in top form yesterday winning all three pool games to become the first player to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Billiards and Snooker Association of Fiji (BSAF) Champion of Champions tournament in Suva yesterday.
Singh, who was consistent in competitions last year, reaching one semi-final and three finals, stood out from the other 15 competitors.
Singh, won pool one and Ashneel Nand was the runner-up. Viliame Umu booked his spot in the quarters from pool 2. Pool 3 qualifiers were Pritesh Khatri and Jiten Prasad and veterans Suman Lal and Yogen Prasad qualified from pool 4.
Quarter-finals in the premier and super premier grade were underway when this edition went to press.
Today's semi-finals will be played at Merchants and Defence Club. The final will be played at Merchants Club.
