Rewa's Peniame Drova has set his sights for yet another successful football season.
The rugged Rewa defender will feature for the Delta Tigers in their National Football League round one match against Tavua today at Sigatoka's Lawaqa Park.
Earlier this week he was training with the Navua soccer team at the very ground where his young football career started.
Drova, who resides in Navua, trained at the Vashist Muni College grounds with Navua for the past couple of days.
However, he will join the Delta Tigers' campaign against Tavua as they try and start the season on a high note.
With players like Simione Tamanisau, Lorima Dau, Kelepi Qaqa, Iosefo Verevau and Epeli Saukuru, the Tigers are hoping to start their season on a high.
Navua soccer coach Manoj Kumar said they wanted to show their support to the Navua players who played for other districts.
"Drova asked to train with us and it's fine with me. He is a Navua boy like Lautoka's (Valerio) Nawatu, who is also training with us, and no matter what team they play for, we will always back them. We wish Drova well with Rewa tomorrow," he said.
Rewa team official Lawrance Nath said Drova would be a key figure for them against Nadroga.
The game kicks-off at 1pm.
