Pressure to improve

Ana Madigibuli
Saturday, January 12, 2013

FIJI Corrections Service Commissioner Lieutenant Colonel Ifereimi Vasu wants the Fiji Corrections Service to improve on its service delivery this year.

This after 86 inmates out of the 1300 released in 2011 returned as reoffenders last year.

Lt-Col Vasu made this announcement at the Fiji Corrections Services parade for all corrections officers in the Southern, Central and Eastern Divisions in Naboro Correction Centre yesterday.

He said a lot of work was needed to be done regarding service delivery as more inmates were returning after they were released from prison.
