LABASA is expected to field a new-look side when they take on Nadi in the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League opener at Subrail Park in Labasa.

Labasa team manager Praveen Karan said they would use young and new players in the game tomorrow.

"We will be retaining old blood like mid-fielder Pita Bolaitoga, Akuila Mateisuva at goalkeeper, Posiano Kalisito, Ilaitia Tuilau, Taione Kerevanua and a few more."

Karan said players who have been attending training would get a chance to feature in the opening round of the league competition.

Meanwhile, Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Bob Kumar confirmed strikers Joseph Mishra and Misaele Draunibaka were free to play for the Babasiga lions.

Labasa will take on the Jetsetters at 1.30pm and Suva on Sunday at 3.30pm.
