A SENIOR administrative officer of the Public Service Commission has become the first recipient of the Korea International Co-operation Agency (KOICA) scholarship award this year.
Ratusaitadra Keverieli was selected for a Master's Degree Program in Development Policy under the 2013 technical co-operation program of the government of the Republic of Korea.
For the duration of one year and 23 days, the program would be held at the Korea Development Institute (KDI) School of Public Policy and Management in Seoul with 30 participants from 23 countries.
A statement by KOICA said all round trip tickets, tuition fees and expenses for accommodation and meals during the recipient's education period in Korea would be funded by the agency.
The KOICA scholarship award was introduced in 1991.
In a meeting last year with Fiji's representative to the Republic of Korea Filimoni Kau, KOICA president Dae-won Park said they were committed to assisting Fiji and other Pacific small island developing states.
