ONE of the seven people charged with harbouring escapees was denied bail by the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.
Epeli Qaqa was denied bail by magistrate Janaka Bandara because his surety was not trustworthy. The other six accused were granted bail.
Charged are Taniela Yauyau, Laisa Elder, Livai Nabulu, Unaisi Ciri, Epeli Qaqa, Merewalesi Sikadimuri, and a juvenile for allegedly providing assistance to the five escapees who were recaptured by authorities last year.
