Help for families

THREE hundred and fifteen people were given food packs by the Fiji Sevashram Sangha as it reached its 19th day of Cyclone Evan relief operations on Sunday.

According to Sangha relief team member Akhilesh Prasad, they visited families in Volivoli, Raravatu, Ellington, Navaia, Dugavatu, Naboutolu and Korotale in Rakiraki.

Following distribution of relief supplies in affected areas in Nadi, Lautoka, Tavua and Ba, the team moved to provide assistance to affected families in Rakiraki.

"A list of affected families was obtained from the District Officer's office and also from Red Cross," Mr Prasad said.
