Pair launch book

FIJI'S friendly relations with India reached another milestone yesterday.

This follows the launch of a book titled India-Fiji: Experience to Remember yesterday. Co-edited by director of the Indian Cultural Centre Dr Kamal Kishor Mishra and Professor Satendra Nandan, the book was launched by President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau.

Articles in the book explore experiences of scholars, writers and visitors from Fiji to India and their first impressions of India.

A few articles were written by Indian authors who have visited Fiji.

The 452-page book has 65 articles and the foreword was written by Dr Karan Singh, president of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. Labelling the book a 'joy to read', Ratu Epeli said it had deep human stories about common humanity.

Dr Mishra said his experience in Fiji had been rich and enriching.
