Update: 7:05PM FMF breakfast crackers lovers will have to expect a 12 per cent increase in the price of the 5kg bucket of biscuit from next week.
A government statement released yesterday said the increase would mean consumers paying $2.79 extra.
Minister for Industry and Trade Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said although the rise was unfortunate, it reflected rising costs in the international market for wheat and was beyond Fiji's control.
