The vanua of Rewa along with the Burebasaga Confederacy last Saturday marked the 175th anniversary of Revered William Cross's arrival in the village of Lomanikoro.

More than 300 villagers gathered at Lomanikoro to mark the important event with traditional ceremonies. Two war clubs that signified the acceptance of Christianity in the province was returned to the paramount chief of Rewa, Ro Teimumu Kepa, after 174 years by two descendants of Fiji's first missionary Reverend William Cross.
