NATIONAL netball rep Seruwaia Vonolagi appeared before the Suva Magistrate court yesterday on a charge of assault.
Ms Vonolagi was expected to have entered a plea but her counsel informed the court they had yet to receive Ms Vonolagi’s charge statement and summary of facts.
On October 7, last year, Ms Vonolagi allegedly assaulted Penaia Raiyalo, who is believed to be her partner, in Samabula.
In court yesterday, Magistrate Yohan Liyanage adjourned Ms Vonolagi’s case to January 28 when she is expected to take a plea.
