Update: 11:59AM A GROUP of students and parents of a prominent school in Labasa have started a hunger strike this morning.

This follows the Ministry of Educations decision to award zero to the students for biology during the Fiji Seventh Form Examination last year.

Parent and protesting party spokesman Rajesh Lal said while they were disappointed with the ministrys decision, they also felt sad for their students who struggled to pass their papers.

They said the strike will continue until a satisfactory decision is reached.

The strike started at 9am.
