Neighbours alert police on discovery of dead body

THE body of a man in his late 20s was discovered outside his home in Tacirua yesterday.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the police was alerted to the incident by neighbours who made the discovery.

Ms Naisoro said it was too early to reveal more details about the circumstances surrounding the death.

She said it had been confirmed the deceased was at home alone.

"We cannot comment further as investigations continue," she said.

Some neighbours informed this newspaper the body of the man was discovered in the early hours of yesterday near his front gate. Police investigations continue.
