FORMER South Pacific Games beach volleyball gold medallist Finau Waqa guided her Lanai Gold team to victory in the women's final during the Nadi Volleyball Association knockout competition in Namaka yesterday.
The Lanai Gold team defeated Delana 2-0 at the Airports Fiji Limited hard courts in Namaka.
In the semi-final Lanai Gold beat Northern Stars in straight sets 25-20, 25-22. In the other semi-final Delana upset favourite Neighbours 25-15, 26-26.
Votualevu with former Fiji trialist Joe Vakadranu won the men's division final. The side defeated Tabernacle Eagles in straight sets 25-20, 25-22. In the semi-final Votualevu downed Martintar in straight sets 25-21, 26-24 while Tabernacle Eagles downed Waqadra 25-12, 25-19.
