FIJI Football Association coaching director Carlos Buzzetti is happy with the response of the players for the week-long national under-17 and under-20 soccer team camp.
The requested players marched into camp at the National Football Academy in Ba on Friday.
Buzzetti said they were awaiting the New Zealand-based players who would be in camp by yesterday.
"We are overwhelmed by the response and we all look forward to the programs in store for the players in this camp," the Uruguayan mentor said.
Buzzetti said all the preparations had been done for the training which began yesterday.
He said they would have three sessions per day throughout the week except for Wednesday.
"We are planning to have some game time to allow the players to put into practice what they will learn throughout the week," Buzzetti said.
Buzzetti said basic skills and techniques would be the key areas during the camp.
However, he added fitness of the players remained their major focus.
"There are some development skills we will be working on along with fitness of the players which is our major focus," Buzzetti said.
"This camp would allow us to gauge where these players are at the stage in terms of development and help in preparation for the world qualifiers."
Buzzetti hopes for a better weather next week.
