LOCAL inspirational author Amitesh Deo who is well known for his inspirational book Amma a Frail Door has spoken out on the young Indian girl who was brutally raped and later died.
Mr Deo said Amma Productions joined the world in offering their sincere condolences to the family of the young 23-year-old physiotherapy student who died from injuries she sustained after being brutally beaten and raped on a New Delhi bus on December 16.
"Many of the people associated with our organisation are victims of child abuse or rape," said Mr Deo.
"Having suffered both these situations personally, I felt saddened and depressed with the news of such harsh treatment of another human being."
"The safety of women and children all around the world seems to be at the greatest threat ever," he said.
Mr Deo said parents and religious leaders needed to play a more active role and install some moral ethics in their children so that they did not grow up to be rapists and child molesters.
Mr Deo also said humanity needed to stop breeding monsters and somewhere in the modern world of fake socialism and cheap culture, we have to revive self respect and the value of life.
"The death of the young girl represents the death of humanity and in fact the death of a little bit of all of us," he said.
"I pray that the soul of the young girl rests in peace and that justice finds its place in this case," he added.
