A TOTAL of 200 dignity kits have been handed over by US ambassador Frankie Reed to the Ministry of Provincial Development.
The dignity kits which will be distributed to disaster-affected people in evacuation centres in Fiji include clothes, toiletries, detergents and other basic necessities.
Ms Reed said the US understood the vulnerability of their friends in the Pacific to natural disasters.
"We remain committed to helping those affected by Tropical Cyclone Evan," she said.
The items were provided through a $US100,000 ($F177,838) grant provided to Rotary Fiji following an assessment conducted by a member of USAID's office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance.
Ms Reed previously authorised $US50,000 ($F88,919) to be provided to the Fiji Red Cross Society in order to provide assistance immediately after the cyclone.
Rotary humanitarian co-ordinator Bob Niranjan said the new grant from USAID was the confirmation that Rotary in Fiji was a key player in post-disaster operations.
