A TOTAL of 12 Girl Guides will represent Fiji at the Fantastic Jamboree in Tasmania, Australia hosted by their Australian sisters.
The Fiji Girl Guides Association leader for the trip, Make Sorovakarua, said the jamboree was a week-long camp.
"These girls will go mountain climbing, kayaking, cooking and learn many other important lessons," she said.
"This lifetime opportunity will turn them into more confident young women to speak out and be better women."
Girl Guide Amelia Tuvou, 13, of Saint Agnes Primary School, said it was her first time to travel to another country.
"I am extremely excited that I am going and I will learn a lot of things from this experience," she said.
