Flashfloods in Labasa

Update: 3:03PM HEAVY rain this morning resulted in flash floods in some parts of Labasa.

Villagers of Vuo, outside Labasa Town awoke this morning to rising flood waters that surrounded the village. This was caused by blocked drains beside the main road.

Assistant village headman Joji Suqulu said the village easily got flooded during heavy rain because of the blocked drains.

We hope rain stops by tomorrow, otherwise the flood waters will remain in the village area.
