ESCAPEE Iowane Benedito appeared in the Suva Magistrates court yesterday where he pleaded guilty to one count of resisting arrest, another count of escaping from lawful custody and damaging property.
Benedito appeared before Magistrate Yohan Liyanage. The summary of facts was not read out in court as the police prosecution did not have them at the time of the hearing.
The matter has been adjourned to January 8 where the summary of facts is expected to be produced and read out to him.
Benedito, along with three other inmates had escaped from the Korovou Corrections Centre.
