A MAN employed as a tradesman appeared before Magistrate Yohan Liyanage yesterday charged with one count of intent to insult the modesty of a woman has been handed a bound over sentence.
William Morell, 39, pleaded guilty to uttering words that insulted his wife Sangeeta Nair. The court heard that Morell was under the influence of alcohol when he was playing with their ten-month-old baby, Ms Nair tried to take their baby away from Morell after he bit the baby's hand.
Morell in the process swore at Ms Nair, uttering words that are described to have insulted the modesty of a woman.
