SOME parts of the western region are still experiencing water problems, almost two weeks after the destruction of Tropical Cyclone Evan.

While most parts of Nadi, Sigatoka and Lautoka are now receiving normal water supply, a few areas still remain affected.

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) confirmed yesterday that two trucks were carting water to evacuation centres, villages and the settlements of Batiri, Nawai, Nasau and Navutu.

In Nadi, WAF added that areas such as Nawaicoba, Uciwai and Transmitter Rd were still receiving disrupted water supply.

"Two water trucks are currently servicing these affected areas as well as evacuation centres," WAF's latest statement noted.

In Lautoka, there are two water trucks servicing evacuation centres at Tuvu Primary School, Lovu Sangam, Tavakubu Hall and Paipai Primary School.

Ba, Rakiraki, Tavua, Northern, Central and Eastern divisions of the country are now receiving normal supply, WAF confirmed.
