THE first-ever annual street party in Seaqaqa, Macuata has been hailed a success with more than 1000 people attending the event on Monday night.
With entertainment, loud music and excitement, firecrackers lit up the sky as people bid farewell to 2012 and welcomed the new year.
Seaqaqa street party secretary Jane Naulu said the inaugural event had brought people of all races together.
"It's really good to see that people have come together to welcome the new year in style," Ms Naulu said.
