Revellers party the night

FIREWORKS gloomed, people shouted with joy and danced at Suva's Albert Park last night to bid farewell to 2012 and welcome the new year.

Thousands joined the Annual Fiji Street Party at the Albert Park to welcome the New Year in style.

People of all races and ages packed the park with their families, children and friends.

Speaking to The Fiji Times many people expressed their amazement to see international standard stage and powerful sound systems put up by organisers — Total Event Company — that rocked the park last night.

Krishan Naickar of Nausori said he enjoyed this year's Annual Fiji Street Party as it was bigger and better than the previous years.

Meanwhile, people also flocked to various nightclubs in the city to welcome the New Year.
