Road safety campaign

Saturday, December 29, 2012

POLICE in the north are taking a proactive approach towards endorsing road safety this festive season.

Police officers have made it their business to issue pamphlets and use the roadside as their lectern as they preach about road safety.

Assistant northern police commander Acting Senior Superintendent of Police Fulori Rainibogi said officers would be at strategic locations with pamphlets with road safety hints and important road codes.

"Awareness will be done to drivers as part of the third phase of the ongoing Operation Blitz," she said.
