Drop in child abuse

THE Fiji Women's Crisis Centre (FWCC) has confirmed a decrease in new instances of reported child abuse this year in comparison to last year.

In 2011, there were a total of 74 new clients who reported child abuse, while this year the statistics showed a drop to 66 reported cases.

This was revealed in the FWCC's annual report for 2012 with the year ending in November.

The report also revealed there were 98 repeat clients in total this year.
