Water supply back on

WATER Authority of Fiji has confirmed that water supply to the Central and Eastern division have returned to normal with sewer pump stations also operational in Suva and Nausori.

WAF Corporate Communication Team Leader Fulori Turaga said water supply to Colo-i-Suva was still running on generators but all water supplies in the area had normalised yesterday.

Mrs Turaga said for Deuba and Navua, the Nayagi and Deuba water treatment plants were back in operation as well as the sewer pump stations.

"Supply coverage restoration has now reached 98 percent with supply normalising in Korovou and Ratu Kadavulevu School while power had been restored at the Matacaucau booster and QVS," Mrs Turaga said.

She said all systems were operating normally for Naboro, Levuka, northern region and the outer islands.

She said for the maritime region the MLC Vatulawa barge was carting water to Yasawa with eight WAF staff members providing assistance.
