Villagers raise 6K

Salaseini Vosamana
Friday, December 28, 2012

CHILDREN of Vunidamoli Village in Cakaudrove now have the opportunity to excel academically as their parents gathered yesterday to raise $6000 for their education.

The village initiative, started in 2010, is aimed at helping parents who cannot financially support their children's education.

Villager Savenaca Tamaibeka said their children would now have access to higher education because their studies were being supported by their parents and villagers who resided in other parts of the country.

He said the initiative would also combat school dropouts as financial shortcomings would be solved.
