Salaseini Vosamana
Friday, December 28, 2012

POLICE have located the fishing boat which was last seen drifting outside Mali Island off Macuata waters early this week.

Deputy police commander northern acting Senior Superintendent of Police Fulori Rainibogi said they received a call from villagers of Kia Island yesterday confirming they had located the boat on Boxing Day.

"We received the call in the afternoon and we were told that the boat and its owner arrived safely on the island," she said.

"We believe that it (boat) belongs to a villager on the island."
