Last minute rush

Luke Rawalai
Tuesday, December 25, 2012

SHOWERS in the middle of a hot sunny day failed to keep shoppers away from Labasa Town rushing through shops and supermarkets for Christmas.

Villagers travelled from Cakaudrove, Bua and Macuata to do last-minute Christmas shopping.

Supermarkets were crowded with shoppers who formed long queues awaiting busy cashiers.

Some mothers from Bua and Cakaudrove started school shopping buying mattresses for their children at boarding schools, books and other stationery.
