100K bank aid

Saturday, December 22, 2012

ANZ has announced that it will contribute $100,000 to the Fiji Red Cross, the Prime Minister's Cyclone Relief Fund and to selected charities to support people affected by the devastating Cyclone Evan.

The bank will also provide a banking assistance package to affected customers.

ANZ CEO Pacific and Fiji Vishnu Mohan said: "Cyclone Evan has caused significant damage in Fiji and also in Samoa, and we understand the impact that disasters like this have.

"We want our customers to know that we will stand beside them as the clean up begins.

"It's especially difficult given many Fijian communities were only just beginning to recover or had only just got back on their feet after the major floods earlier this year. We hope this donation and assistance package provides some relief to help them focus on the recovery."
