SUVA soccer coach Gurjeet Singh is hoping his players continue their personal training while they wait for the new date for the Champions League to be finalised.

The capital side lost the first match of the Pillay's Garment sponsored competition 0-1 to Ba at Lautoka's Churchill Park on December 9.

The second match was to be played at Govind Park on December 16 but was postponed because of Cyclone Evan.

The new date for the second match is yet to be finalised and Singh said their training might start next year.

He said fitness was a major concern for his side in their loss in the first match and that was something he would address when training resumes.

"The players are on break right now as we are still awaiting the date for the next leg to be finalised," Singh said.

"We were thinking on resuming training after the New Year celebration but that will depend on date of the second leg of the CVC," he said.

"I hope players do their personal training. Here in Fiji we don't get to see this often during the festive season but I just hope the players do their personal training."

The only dates confirmed by the Fiji Football Association are for the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League which will start on January 12.

"We are eagerly waiting for the new season to start and I hope the date for the CVC are confirmed soon," Singh said.
