Defending champs in German Cup quarters

BERLIN - Mario Goetze scored a hat-trick as holders Borussia Dortmund marched into the quarter-finals of the German Cup with a 5-1 thrashing of Hanover on Wednesday.

Wolfsburg joined them in the last eight after coming from behind to beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-1, while VfB Stuttgart defeated second-division side Cologne 2-1.

Bochum ran out 3-0 winners over 1860 Munich who had Spanish defender Guillermo Vallori sent off for a foul in the 27th minute in a meeting of two second-division sides.
