THE Cakaudrove Provincial Council has received initial cyclone damage assessment reports from village heads in the province.

Acting roko tui Cakaudrove Sara Bulutani said village headmen had started initial cyclone damage assessments in villages around the province.

"We have submitted the assessment reports to the Disaster Management Centre (DISMAC) in the provincial administrator office for their necessary action," Mr Bulutani said.

"Villagers are currently making use of the breadfruit and other root crop which were damaged during the cyclone," he said.

Mr Bulutani said villagers had raised concerns over the provision of their meals following the damage of root crops in their farms.
