Nadi shut down

Update: 1:44PM NADI resembles a ghost town after authorities made a decision to close the vibrant tourist centre down for security purposes.

Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Doctor Ram Raju said Nadi would remain closed until essential utilities were restored.

"We currently have no power and this is a security issue for us. Business will resume once power has been restored," he said.

Meanwhile, business has resumed as usual in Rakiraki, Ba, Lautoka and Sigatoka.

Tavua was also seriously affected by TC Evan.
