Rewa River rises

By AVINESH GOPAL
Tuesday, December 18, 2012

Update: 8:25AM POLICE officers are keeping a close watch on the Rewa River as the water level is rising now.

The river has burst its banks and flooded Syria Park in town, below the old bridge.

With high tide expected just after 10am, there is a possibility of low-lying areas in Rewa being flooded.

The water level at this time is about five metres below the base of the old Rewa Bridge but over the banks in some areas.
