Waidalice River rising

Update: 6:11PM THE Waidalice River in Korovou, Tailevu, is rising and people are evacuating to their nearest evacuation centres.

Tailevu advisory councillor Jagdish Narayan said 85 families were evacuated to three evacuation centres in Korovou.

Mr Narayan said they had been experiencing strong wind and heavy rain from this afternoon.

He urged people in the area  to evacuate as the river was rising rapidly.
