Update: 12:43PM WAIBULA Bridge in the north-end of Taveuni is submerged after heavy rain experienced on the island last night.

Commissioner Northern Lieutenant Colonel Ilai Moceica said no major damage was caused to  roads on the island.

However, he said people in Taveuni had taken heed of the weather warning.

The bridge, he added, was always submerged during heavy rain because it was located in a low area.
