Evan remains at CAT4

Update: 12:19PM THE Fiji Meteorological Office (MET office) has confirmed that Tropical Cyclone Evan is still at category four status.

As of 11.30am today, MET director Alipate Waqaicelua said that TC Evan "has not yet reached category five and is still moving north".

"The distance at 11.30am was 26km per hour east southeast of Yasawa-i-rara. This is the northern most island of the Yasawa group," he said.

The MET office will be updating the public on a two-hourly basis with the latest whereabouts of TC Evan.
