Update: 9:38PM THE winds and rain have intensified over Vanua Levu.

The sound of tthe wind blowing through Labasa Town is louder than last night. Police officers continue to patrol the area.

Labasa and Savusavu experienced blackouts since the winds started in Cakaudrove.
