Update: 1:30PM ROAD closures around Fiji will determine on the severity of the cyclone.

Department of Roads director John Luveniyali said no road would be closed just yet but they were monitoring roads and bridges around Fiji.

Mr Luveniyali said they would focus more on roads in low-lying areas.

He advised motorists to refrain from using the roads during the cyclone.

However, he said all the divisions were alerted and ready for Tropical Cyclone Evan to hit Fiji

Members of the public have been urged to listen to the radio for information on road closures.
