Doctors on standby

Update: 1:13PM ALL doctors and nurses will be on standby in all activated health divisions around the country.

Ministry of Health acting permanent secretary Dr Josefa Koroivueta said all the division hospitals, subdivisional hospitals and major health centres around the country were activated on Friday.

Dr Korivueta said all medical officers and nurses were called in on standby when tropical cyclone Evan hits Fiji.

He said human resources in the emergency Units around Fiji were activated from Friday.
