Store water

Ropate Valemei
Sunday, December 16, 2012

THE Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) is preparing its sites to minimise potential causes for disruptions this cyclone.

WAF corporate communications team leader Fulori Turaga said this included checking chemical stocks, fuel stores and so on.

"WAF will be implementing a water conservation strategy to maximise its storage volumes while some people may experience low pressure," Ms Turaga said.

She said people were encouraged to store water to meet their needs for at least the first 24 hours before the cyclone hits.
