TOURISTS have been evacuated from outer island resorts with inter-island cruises working round the clock to ferry the guests to the mainland before Tropical Cyclone Evan hits Fiji.
Yesterday, a group of tourists were brought from resorts in the Mamanuca Islands by South Sea Cruises.
South Sea Cruises sales manager Lavonne Fremlin said some guests had chosen to come from the islands today (yesterday).
"Tomorrow, (today) at 9am, two vessels will commence services to bring all remaining guests from these resorts. We have been in contact with all the resorts to put this plan in place."
