THE Fiji under-20 squad is in camp in Ba preparing for the Oceania Football Confederation U20 Championship which will be played in Lautoka next March.

Fiji FA technical director Farouk Janeman said the players in the U20 squad had been selected over the past few months.

He said the team would remain in camp until the play-off.

"The aim is to build the best combinations," Janeman said.

"We have a good chance of winning the play-off. There is enough time to build the team. The players know the importance of the play-off. Earlier this year we reached the final of the OFC Olympic play-off only to go down to New Zealand 0-1 in the final in Taupo. So we have the potential here."

Some of the district squad members in the national U20 squad include Kolinio Sivoki (Navua), Junior Narendra Rao (Ba), Rusiate Matirerega (Nadi), Samuela Nabenia (Ba), Edward Justin (Lautoka), Napolioni Qasevakatini (Nadi), Leisari Qalica (Lautoka) and Jone Salauneune (Ba). The OFC U20 Championship will be held from March 17-30.
