THE Fijian and Japanese governments will conduct a workshop next week to discuss trade and investment opportunities, experiences and perspectives of both countries on trade.

Japanese Ambassador Eiichi Oshima said the Japan-Fiji economic partnership workshop would be held on December 19 in Suva.

"A delegation from Japan consisting of government officials and members from private companies will visit Fiji to participate in the workshop and to attract more investment to Fiji and vice versa," he said.

He hoped such business events in partnership with potential Fijian companies would benefit both countries. The workshop will see discussions on Fiji's development needs as well as Japan's development aid experiences.
