Tuvalu envoy presents credentials

TUVALU'S High Commissioner to Fiji Lutelu Faavae presented his credentials to the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau on Tuesday.

Ratu Epeli welcomed Mr Faavae and wished him well during his term.

"Please convey to His Excellency the acting Governor General, the government and the people of Tuvalu our warmest wishes for their continued wellbeing, peace and prosperity," he said.

Mr Faavae has been in the civil service and has been a permanent secretary for several ministries in Tuvalu including sports, education, culture, natural resources, foreign affairs, and communications and transport.

He holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of the South Pacific and is a professional member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, from Abingdon College of Further Education, in Britain.
