Assault suspect needs a lawyer

Mere Naleba
Wednesday, December 12, 2012

MAGISTRATE Yohan Liyanage has granted bail to a man charged with indecent assault.

When the summary of the facts were read out to him, the accused said he understood them and would engage the services of a lawyer. The court heard that the accused allegedly indecently assaulted a woman at a carwash outlet in Samabula. The police prosecution did not object to bail but asked the court to set strict conditions.
